Duel in the Mist 2 is the second volume to cover the collision of Kampfgruppe Peiper and American forces during the Ardennes Offensive in December 1944. The events of 20th and 21st December unfold in ‘real time’ as attacks and counterattacks swirl around Stoumont, Cheneux, La Gleize and surrounding areas. Every aspect of these battles - from both the German and American perspectives - has been studied in detail and reconstructed moment by moment to provide the most compelling story of the Offensive to date. Large color maps allow you to see the opposing forces moving towards each other and easily locate landmarks mentioned in the text. A huge selection of mostly unpublished photographs depicts the savage fighting and damage done to masonry, men and machines in these two days of intense combat.
